Remove bin

Remove the clear bin, cyclone assembly and filter from the machine.

Where the bottom of the filter sits located on the main body of the machine, there is a small black rubber switch.

Press this in and pull the trigger assembly.

Where is noise coming from?

Checking the machine for a blockage

If the machine is not picking up as well as usual, it will indicate that the filter needs washing or there is a blockage, please see the steps below;

Open the bin base fully by pressing the bin release catch.

Press the catch located behind the bin release catch to separate the bin from the cyclone assembly.

Remove the clear bin fully.

Check the accessory tools and the shroud assembly.

Clean any debris from the shroud with a cloth or soft dry brush to remove the fluff and dust.

Replace the bin assembly ensuring it clicks in to place.

Rebuild and test the machine.

Run cold water through the open end of the filter for approximately 10 seconds.

Turn the filter up side down and tap 10 times.

Squeeze and twist the filter.

Repeat until clean.

Dry the filter

Leave the filter in a warm place for 24 hours, until completely dry.

Re-assemble and test the machine

Ensure the filters are completely dry before refitting into machine.

Paper test

This would indicate that there is no issue with the machine.

To test that there is not a further blockage, tear up some small pieces of paper and vacuum them.

Blockage issue

Run the machine and if there is a pulsating noise this will indicate that the machine is blocked. Please see how to remove a blockage.

Checking the machine for a blockage

If the machine is not picking up as well as usual, it will indicate that the filter needs washing or there is a blockage, please see the steps below;

Open the bin base fully by pressing the bin release catch.

Press the catch located behind the bin release catch to separate the bin from the cyclone assembly.

Remove the clear bin fully.

Check the bin inlet

With the bin removed, check the bin inlet flap for blockages and remove as necessary.

Ensure that it moves freely, fluff or fibers jamming the hinge can cause the flap to close resulting in low suction and pulsating noise.

Check the accessory tools and the shroud assembly.

Clean any debris from the shroud with a cloth or soft dry brush to remove the fluff and dust.

Replace the bin assembly ensuring it clicks in to place.

Check the wand for any blockages.

Wash the filter and clean the bin

This issue could be resolved by washing the filter and cleaning the bin and cyclone.

Please select the appropriate option

To ensure your machine continues to clean effectively, the clear bin must be emptied as soon as the dust reaches the max mark.

Empty the clear bin

Push the button on the main body of the machine downwards to release dust directly into a dustbin.

Shake or tap firmly to remove all dust from inside the fine dust collector.

Press firmly underneath the catch of the clear bin base to close.

Separating the cyclone and bin from the main body

Remove any accessory tools.

Identify the catch on top of the cyclone assembly and press to release.

Remove the wand and any accessories.

Lay the machine on its back, on a firm stable surface, so that bin entry nozzle points towards the ceiling.

Place your hand on the bin and apply pressure downwards.

While applying pressure, press the cyclone release catch.

Closing the bin base

Open the bin base via the bin release catch.

Inspect the shroud to ensure there is not blockage.

Check that the bin catch is free from debris and clear if necessary.

Push the bin base firmly for it to click into place.

Opening the bin base

Gently push the bin towards the main body while pressing the bin release catch.

If this doesn't work, a small screwdriver can be used to release the clear bin catch underneath the red release catch.

Checking the bin entry valve

Open the bin base using the bin release catch.

Remove the bin from the cyclone using the release catch located at the back of the cyclone at the bottom of the bin.

Check the inlet and remove any blockages.

Check for small obstructions that may not be obvious but could cause the bin entry valve to remain jammed open/closed.

Re-assemble and test the machine.

Power/electrical issue

Most lights issues can be resolved by using the power/electrical issue script, please select Power/ electrical issue from the drop down list or one of the other listed symptoms.

Test machine

Hold the trigger and run the machine.

Does the machine come on for two-to-four seconds then go off?

Type A

Press the release catch and remove the battery.

Check that the contacts on the battery are not damaged.

Wipe with a dry clean cloth.

Refit the battery and test the machine.

Type B

Using a screw driver remove the two small screws, the 1st is located above the charging point and the 2nd is located behind the washable filter at the bottom.

Remove the battery.

Check that the contacts on the battery are not damaged.

Wipe with a dry clean cloth.

Refit the battery, and the two screws, and test the machine
