Wow! Just Wow!

This is my 4th Dyson fan and this is the best one yet. It came packaged perfect, free of damage. The only assembly was putting in the filters, which was simple. This machine is loaded with features. The remote is simple to read and easily understood, I LOVE the fact that this fan will oscillate from 45 degrees to 350 degrees. It also has an Auto feature that allows the fan to automatically monitor the air quality and react instantly to keep the quality good. the gold color is a beautiful accent to my room. Even on the highest fan speed, the machine is way quieter than all other brand machines that I have had. Also, it was a very simple and fast process to link it to the wi-fi and add it to the Dyson Link App. It is awesome to be able to control the fan even when I am not home. It also tells me the temp and humidity in the room. The display is big and easy to read. Dyson has stepped up their game with this machine. I could go on and on about how much I enjoy it. Overall, this is one GREAT fan.

Air Multiplier technology

Projects a long-range stream of smooth air to reach every corner of the room. No need for blades.

Formaldehyde sensor

Solid state electrochemical cells precisely detect formaldehyde for the lifetime of the machine.

Gas and particulate sensors

Measures and detects particles and volatile organic compounds in the air.

Removes allergens and pollutants

360° HEPA H13 filter has 9 meters of borosilicate microfibres, pleated over 200 times, to trap particles as small as allergens and bacteria.

Destroys formaldehyde

Selective catalytic oxidization destroys formaldehyde released from household items, continuously breaking it down into water and CO2.

Captures gases and odors

Activated carbon filter removes gases¹ such as benzene and NO2.

Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Formaldehyde purifying a large living space

Powerful circulation to purify the whole room

Only Dyson purifiers have Air Multiplier™ technology to draw in distant pollutants and project purified air throughout the room.²

We test beyond the industry standard. For real living spaces.

Dyson engineers designed the POLAR test to challenge the industry standard test methods - measuring purification, sensing, and circulation to ensure the whole room is purified properly.

  • Graphic comparison of CADR test v Dyson test

Some CADR methods do not measure purification performance in a realistically-sized room.

In this 28.5m³ room, one fan mixes the air before the test, and another circulates air during the test. Only one sensor measures air quality.

  • Graphic comparison of CADR test v Dyson test

Dyson's POLAR test goes further to measure purification throughout a realistically-sized room.

In this 81m³ room, there are no fans except the air purifier with nine different sensors to measure even-room air quality.

Dyson Purifier Cool Formaldehyde in action

Poor air quality isn't just a problem outside.
It's a problem inside too.

From pets and flowers, to sprays and stoves, our homes can trap pollutants in the air. That's why Dyson purifiers automatically sense and remove them.

Common household pollutants

  • Common allergens - pet dander, pollen and dust

    PM10

  • Bacteria and mold spores

    PM5.0

  • Industrial emissions and smoke

    PM2.5

  • Ultrafine particles

    PM0.1

  • Formaldehyde (HCHO)

    Carpets, rugs and flooring

  • Odors

    Household fumes and cooking

  • Benzene and VOCs

Captures and destroys with advanced HEPA filtration

The HEPA+Carbon filter captures gases and 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. Our catalytic filter continuously destroys formaldehyde.

Air purifier catalytic tunnel

Destroys formaldehyde¹ in billions of catalytic tunnels

Dyson's unique catalytic filter continuously traps and converts formaldehyde into water and CO₂. And it self-regenerates, so it never needs replacing.¹

Fully sealed air purifier air flow

Fully sealed to HEPA H13 standard

To prevent pollutants leaking back into the air, it's not just the filter that's sealed to HEPA H13 standard, it's the whole purifier³. So what goes inside, stays inside.

Features

  • Powerful, cooling airflow

Backward airflow. Purifies without cooling you.

Airflow is diverted through the back of the machine, maintaining effective purification.

  • Dyson air purifier in a dark bedroom with someone sleeping peacefully

    Cools you when needed

Projects over 77 gallons of air a second for cooling airflow.

  • Air purifier quieter performance

    20% quieter

Acoustically engineered to reduce turbulence, so it's 20% quieter than the previous model.

  • Changing the air purifier filter

    Easy filter care

The catalytic filter never needs to be replaced. We recommend replacing the HEPA+Carbon filter when you're alerted by the Dyson Link app or every 12 months, whichever comes first.

    Night mode

For lighter sleepers, it monitors and purifies using the quietest settings along with a dimmed display.

Frequently asked questions

What's new about the Dyson Purifier range and how is it different to other purifiers?

Dyson engineers are perfectionists. Channeling our relentless dissatisfaction, we have re-engineered our latest purifiers to be fully sealed to HEPA H13 standard.³ Two phases of purification sit within a fully-sealed filtration and airflow system to trap pollutants inside, preventing them from leaking back into the air you breathe. This machine is also 20% quieter than previous models, achieving lower sound output without any compromise to purification performance.

What is different about the Dyson Purifier Formaldehyde range?

The Dyson Purifier Formaldehyde range has all of the capabilities found in our advanced purification products, but goes a step further to detect and destroy formaldehyde.¹ An added solid-state sensor precisely detects formaldehyde, while our catalytic filter breaks it down into two safer molecules – carbon dioxide and water.

What is formaldehyde and what are its common sources?

Formaldehyde is a polluting gas formed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen that is commonly found in homes. Sources of formaldehyde in your home could include paint and varnishes, air fresheners, mattresses, furniture, household cleaners, carpets, particleboard and plywood, electronics, dryer sheets, nail polish remover, moth balls, toys, fireplaces, and wood burning stoves.

What is HEPA H13?

HEPA grades refer to filter efficiency at a certain particle size. HEPA H13 is a filter with a 99.95% removal efficiency of particles down to 0.1 microns per liter of air. Dyson filters also capture 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns in size including common pollutants such as allergens, bacteria, viruses, pollen, and mold spores.

How often should I replace my filter?

We recommend replacing the HEPA+Carbon filter roughly every 12 months, depending on how often you use it. That’s because over time filters can become clogged with pollutants and even let unpleasant odors back into the room. The machine will alert you when it’s time to change filters. A filter life reading can be found on the LCD screen and via the Dyson Link app.⁴ The catalytic filter never needs replacing.

What is the cooling functionality of TP09? Is it an air conditioner?

No, TP09 can serve as a fan, which can help cool you. It is not an air conditioner.
