I upgraded to the v12 from the v8 and I must say that it was worth it. I do notice better suction power along with a great amount of change in design and even the small parts that enhance your experience of using the vacuum cleaner. The trigger button is a huge advantage over any other model and I don't think I can go back to any where the tirgger needs to be held continuously
