No, please don't try to pick up water or other liquids with this machine. For removing stains, liquid spills and washing hard floors, please see the Dyson WashG1™ wet floor cleaner.
The battery detaches with one click, without screws. So it's easy to remove and replace. You can also buy additional batteries to increase overall run time.
