Using your machine
-
Understanding your remote
Control your machine from the touch of a button.
-
Store the remote
It attaches magnetically to the top of the machine, button-side down.
-
Smooth oscillation
At the touch of a button, the fan will gently oscillate to cool a wider area.
Maintaining your machine
-
How to clean your machine
Just use a dry or damp cloth to wipe the loop clean – no need for any detergents or polishes.
-
How to replace the battery in your remote
Start by removing the screw on the back of the remote. After the screw has been removed, push down on the bottom of the remove to release the battery cover. Once you've replaced the battery, the cover will click back into place. Replace the screw to keep secure.

Frequently asked questions
What is different about the Dyson Cool™?
Dyson’s Air Multiplier™ fans have engineered airflow paths for reduced air turbulence. This makes them quieter and more energy efficient. They also have a number of features such as a remote control, sleep timer, and improved oscillation.
How does Air Multiplier™ technology work?
1) Air is drawn in by an energy-efficient, brushless motor
2) A high velocity jet of air exits the loop amplifier and creates an area of low pressure that draws in air from behind the fan.
3) As the jet of air leaves the front of the loop amplifier, more air is drawn from the surroundings due to ‘viscous shearing’, amplifying the initial airflow even further.
How are Dyson Air Multiplier™ fans different to conventional fans?
The fan had remained unchanged for over 100 years. Conventional fans are inefficient and chop the air. They can be difficult to clean, noisy, and have a high centre of gravity – making them prone to falling over.
Air Multiplier technology gives an uninterrupted stream of air - no choppy airflow. With its simple loop the fan is quickly wiped clean with a cloth. Fans with blades are nigh on impossible to clean, with dust and dirt building up inside the cage. The same dust and dirt is then billowed into your face when the fan is switched on.
Unlike top-heavy conventional fans, Dyson bladeless fans have an energy-efficient motor in the base, meaning they have a low centre of gravity and won’t topple over. You have to use two hands to position a fan with blades. The Dyson Air Multiplier™ fan adjusts easily with the touch of the hand. It pivots on its low centre of gravity and stays put.
Is the Dyson Cool™ an air conditioner?
In cooling mode, the Dyson Cool™ tower fan is a powerful fan. It is not an air conditioner. AM07 can be used in conjunction with an air conditioner to circulate cold air further and faster saving you money and energy.
The Dyson Cool™ fan is a powerful fan. It is not an air conditioner.
Does the Dyson Cool™ purify the air?
No, the Dyson Air Multiplier™ machines circulate high-velocity ambient air.
Does the Dyson Cool™ have HEPA filters?
No, the fans are designed to move air rather than clean it. A brushless DC motor means that there is no need for a post-motor filter, as there is no carbon dust being emitted.
How do I store the remote?
The remote controls are curved and magnetised so they can be stored neatly on top of the loop amplifier.
How do I clean the Dyson Cool™?
You just need to wipe the loop amplifier with a cloth. No grille to remove or fiddly blades to worry about.
What are the Dyson Cool™ dimensions?
AM07 = 1007mm (H) x 190mm (W) x 250mm (D)
