Ball™ technology is a new way to steer. Dyson Ball™ vacuums ride on a ball, which pivots around itself so you can instantly change direction with just a turn of the wrist.

Ball™ technology

We’ve done away with wheels. The new Dyson upright machines ride on a ball so they turn on a dime - no more back and forth around corners and obstacles. Inside the ball is the motor, giving the machine a lower center of gravity and improving maneuverability even further.

How Ball™ technology works
