DC59 Lightweight cleaning

Balanced for easy cleaning – from floor to ceiling

DC59 is easy to lift – its center of gravity is located towards the grip, for easy cleaning up top, down below and in-between.

DC59 Balanced weight distribution

Engineered for balanced weight distribution

In other cordless vacuums, heavy parts such as the motor, dust separator and filtration system are located close to the floor – away from the handle. This makes it awkward to lift the vacuum from one surface to another – particularly surfaces at different heights.

Using Archimedes’ principle of the Lever, Dyson engineers have shifted the center of gravity. The weight is distributed differently. The motor and batteries are located directly above and below the hand, making the cleaning end lighter.

The most powerful cordless vacuum

DC59 has more suction power than any other cordless vacuum. The combination of the Dyson digital motor V6, 2 Tier Radial™ cyclones and a re-engineered nickel manganese cobalt battery makes this possible.

Digital motor technology

Other cordless vacuum manufacturers compromise on either weight or suction.

Dyson cordless vacuums are powered by the Dyson digital motor, which spins up to 110,000 times a minute. It's small size means that the machines it powers can also be small, light and powerful.

The Dyson digital motor V6 inside DC59 is 50% more powerful than its predecessor, V2.

DC59 Cleanerhead

Improved pick-up – across every floor type

A re-engineered floor tool helps DC59 to suck up as much dust as a corded vacuum.** Stiff nylon bristles dislodge ground-in dirt from carpets, and soft carbon fiber filaments gently remove fine dust from hard floors.

DC59 Cleanerhead

Anti-static carbon fiber filaments

Many cordless vacuums don’t have brush bars, and those that do only contain nylon bristles. While these loosen dirt from carpets, they’re not as effective on hard floors where fine dust can be left behind.

The brush bars of Dyson cordless vacuums are different. They have a row of anti-static carbon fiber filaments, as well as nylon bristles. The filaments prevent the build-up of the static charge that holds the dust to the floor, allowing it to be sucked up into the vacuum.
