At Dyson we think ‘No Loss of Suction’ should mean just that.No ifs, no buts, no exceptions. But other manufacturers don’t seem to agree.
Other vacuums may have cyclones, but they’re inefficient. They can’t generate centrifugal forces high enough toseparate the smaller particles of dust and dirt. Instead, theyrely on filters to capture these particles.Dust builds up on these filters. It clogs the pores and blocksthe airflow – causing the vacuum to lose suction. With some machines, this can happen before a vacuum’s bin is full. It can even happen when you’re maintaining filters according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Dead human skin cells. Dust mites and their feces, pollen, pet dander, mold and bacteria. Lurking insidehouse dust is a cocktail of these unpleasant, microscopicparticles – otherwise known as allergens.Click the arrow to find out how little it takes to cause anallergic reaction.
Some allergens are just 0.5 microns in size. That’s0.000197 inches. Or 200 times smaller than a humanhair. This means they can easily enter the body throughinhalation. When this happens, some people’s immunesystems overreact to the presence of the particles, producing antibodies to repel them. Subsequentphysical reactions include itching eyes, a running nose, sneezing and coughing to combat the allergens.
All others lose suction. Only Dyson Cinetic™ science doesn’t.1 Other manufacturers base their ‘No Loss ofSuction’ claims on a 15-year-old industry test. But this test can be completed before a vacuum’s bin is even full. Dyson engineers didn’t think this was enough. So, when testing Dyson Cinetic™ vacuums, they repeated thistest to bin full hundreds of times consecutively – using an equivalent of 10 years’ worth of dust.
Dyson Cinetic™ tips oscillate at up to 5000Hz. This continuous movement prevents microscopic dust from building up and blocking the airflow. Because of these tips, dust separation is so efficient that there's no need for a pre-motor filter. So Dyson Cinetic™ science doesn't lose suction.
An active base plate automatically adjusts the cleaner head heightto seal in suction across all floor types. This ensures that even themicroscopic particles between floorboards are sucked up into thevacuum. The motorized brush bar with stiff nylon bristles drives deep into carpet to remove ground-in dirt.
Dyson Cinetic™ science captures allergens and bacteria. And the whole system is engineeredto be completely sealed – ensuring no dirty air escapes. That's why the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball vacuum is certified asthma & allergy friendly™. It went through an independent program of rigorous tests, meeting – and exceeding – the strict criteria.
There are no wheels so there’s no awkward ‘back and forth’ maneuveringrequired. Instead, our vacuums can be steered around furniture and intodifficult places with a simple turn of the wrist.
Just push the button to release the dirt.
