Airblade™ hand dryer technology
Other hand dryers are often slow, unhygienic and energy-hungry. That's because they rely on technology that has changed very little in over 60 years.
Dyson engineers spent three years developing the Airblade™ hand dryer. The result is a hand dryer that is fundamentally different to any other.
Dyson Digital Motor
The Dyson Digital Motor uses the very latest digital pulse technology. That means it's much more powerful than other motors but extremely energy-efficient - in fact, it's rated at just 1600 watts compared with other motors which use up to 2400 watts.
Clean, unheated air
Other hand dryers can blow out warm dirty air and rely on evaporation to remove moisture. Wet hands take too long to dry or, very often, don't end up dry at all.
The Airblade™ hand dryer uses unheated air travelling at over 640 km/h to dry hands in just 10 seconds.
